Dr. Crystal Park’s research focuses on multiple aspects of coping with stressful events, particularly focusing on the roles of meaning and meaning making in the context of traumatic events and life-threatening illnesses. Meaning-related topics of particular interest include religious/spiritual beliefs and religious coping, the phenomenon of stress-related growth, and the tripartite model of meaning. In recent years, Dr. Park has also been investigating mind-body relationships, particularly the science of yoga.
At this year’s conference, Dr. Park will be presenting a paper titled, “What Creates a Sense of Meaning in Life?”
