Charles Taliaferro, Ph.D., is a Professor of Philosophy and Chair of the Department of Philosophy at St. Olaf College. He is the author, co-author or editor of over 25 books, including the six volume The History of Evil (Routledge) co-edited with Chad Meister. He is also the author of The Golden Cord: A Short Book on the Secular and the Sacred (Notre Dame Press). Professor¬†Taliaferro contributed to the book God and Meaning: New Essays (Bloomsbury), arguing for the importance of searching for meaning in life and of life. In Contemporary Philosophical Theology (Routledge), co-authored with Chad Meister, and in his Stanford Encyclopedia entry, “The Afterlife,” Taliaferro argues that a search for the meaning of life should (ideally) include investigating the resources of world religions.
